On March 25, 2025, the National Medal of Honor Museum in Texas (USA) opened its doors to the public. This impressive museum is a tribute to the recipients of the highest military honor in the United States. Van Geenen played a role in the realization of this project and contributed to various architectural elements, including several aluminium emblems. It was technically challenging, but we are proud and grateful to have been part of this amazing project.
Craftsmanship and precision in every detail
For this project, AIP Projects manufactured emblems for the five branches of the U.S. military. The design of these metal artworks was meticulously developed and then CNC-milled. Each emblem underwent a labor-intensive process, taking up to 24 hours to achieve the intricate engravings.
In addition to the precision work of machining, the emblems also had to be bent using advanced shipbuilding techniques to fit perfectly onto the museum’s massive columns. At Van Geenen B.V., we then had the honor of perfecting the emblems through blasting, grinding, and polishing. This ensured that the high-quality appearance and refined details of the emblems were fully brought to life.

Handcrafted craftsmanship in the entrance
Besides the emblems, we also hand-polished the large stainless steel desk in the museum’s entrance. This was an intensive process in which our craftsmen worked for weeks to achieve the desired, extremely refined result. The desk exudes pure perfection and provides an impressive welcome to the museum’s visitors.
