Van Geenen Opens New Cleanroom
Published on: 30 August 2024, Rijssen
At Van Geenen, we are excited to announce the expansion of our capacity with a new cleanroom. This state-of-the-art facility, covering an area of 218 m² with a height of 5 meters, meets the stringent ISO Class 7 standards. With this expansion, we are even better equipped to meet the growing demand for high-quality cleaning and assembly services in the high-tech sector.
Growing with the Market
The construction of this new cleanroom, carried out by ColPro B.V., was necessary to respond to the increasing needs of our customers. The demand for space and the complexity of projects are rising, and this new cleanroom allows us to meet those requirements. Patrick Borkent, Cleanroom Manager at Van Geenen, expressed it as follows: “We are proud of the result. It’s fantastic to see how Van Geenen is evolving with market demands. We can’t wait to grow even further with these new facilities and to serve our customers even better.”
Our new cleanroom is equipped with two mobile gantry cranes, each with a capacity of 2 x 1 ton, allowing us to safely move parts weighing up to 4 tons. Additionally, the cleanroom is directly connected to our cleaning area, ensuring a seamless process from cleaning to further processing or assembly.
With this expansion, we now have more than 300 m² of cleanroom facilities, spread across the new and existing cleanrooms. Our smaller, pre-existing cleanroom remains operational for handling smaller parts and ultrasonic cleaning. This enables us to flexibly respond to diverse customer needs, from small, delicate parts to large, heavy components.

Assembly Work
In addition to cleaning and packaging according to grade 2 and 4 standards, the new cleanroom also offers possibilities for assembly work. Furthermore, the space can be made available for rent to customers who need a controlled environment for their projects.
At Van Geenen, we continue to innovate and invest to stay ahead in the market. With this new facility, we are ready for the future and will continue to provide our customers with the quality and service they have come to expect from us.
